So. I went to the PHTHRD II event last night. plenty of free dewars and beers… and we took advantage of it ( :/ )….it was held at the powerhouse arena in D.U.M.B.O, Brooklyn and it was packed with old ladies….well, sorta. Last night’s theme was a Polaroid duel between 3 photographers. Whomever attended was asked to dress as a granny if they wanted to be part of the project…the photographers had all night to shoot and about 30+ mins to put together a creative piece with their images. my favorite was Jonathan Harris’s idea.
He cut out his many shots and created a giant polaroid. His theme of male and female integration was achieved by cornering each gender on the giant polaroid and swirling them towards eachother with disrobing imagery and blue vs. pink colors.
Looking at a bunch of drunk grannies running around was super fun and also enjoyed watching the artists work as the night went on…i took plenty of pics so check them out on my flickr page…
i made a poloroid dress that would have fit in perfect with that theme!
