Got to check out the free Passion Pit show at the Classic Car Club in NYC this past weekend. The show was thrown to help promote the new Microsoft KIN phone. Free booze, free music = Very happy people. Good Times.

Just saw a Paul Richard sign smack in the middle of Fairey’s wall asking for no graffiti to be added to it…
John Breiner Opening
Stopped by my friend’s new spot in the L.E.S. to check out John Breiner’s new work. I’ve seen John’s art at Mighty Tanaka and have loved it ever since. His use of color and drawing skills are alive and playful. The opening itself was warm and fuzzy with good friends and ever better cocktails.
Panda is hosting artists John Breiner from April 28 – May 30th, 2010. Stop by from Wednesdays to Sundays and take a peek.
Shepard Fairey
Mystery solved… Shepard Fairey and his crew of 2 others are putting up the new mural (as we speak) at the Bowery/Houston wall. Took some shots and a couple of videos…
Shepard Fairey will have a solo show opening May 01, 2010 — May 29, 2010 @ Detich Projects Gallery – 18 Wooster Street, New York.
Looks like has has been busy doing some work in LA as well. Read about it here.
(ps: It’s nice to know that the Os Gemeos mural is safe…..for now)
WNYC Interview Below:
???
We know Deitch Projects has had past control of this wall… and they’ve had fun and interesting murals come up in the past… Os Gemeos will now be replaced, but with what? The Brazilian twins painted openly, yet this time, the wall is covered with a door for access… who is behind these walls and what are they doing????

Adia Millett
Adia Millett’s current body of work, deeply embedded in metaphor, suggests a story of transition from loss to potential love. Her work examines the beauty of impermanence, the power of the unknown, and the illusion of innocence. She uses gestures, objects and sound to convey an abstracted reality where the viewer is asked to put together pieces of a mysterious puzzle. – Artist’s Statement
View more work on her website. She can also be found at Mixed Greens Gallery in Chelsea, NYC.
Oh Paris
